The Jibe license grants the purchaser the following rights:

  1. Jibe is white label, thus you may modify any included objects, uncompiled scripts, and non-core scripts as desired.  We want you to have the freedom to make your world your own.
  2. You are allowed to modify any uncompiled script.  We strongly recommend against modifying those scripts identified in the official manual as core, since doing so may inadvertently disable functions critical for core jibe functionality.
  3. You will have access and use of our support ticket system to address core Jibe functionality problems.  For support beyond the scope of core Jibe functionality, you will need to purchase support credits.
  4. You are allowed to use our Jibe kit as a hosted client for as long as you continue hosting with us.  Upon termination of hosting you must purchase a Jibe kit for self-hosting to continue using Jibe.  Depending on the length of your contract with us as a hosted client and other purchases you may have made we will consider discounting the self-hosted Jibe kit.
  5. As a hosted client, excessive scripts (stress on CPU, RAM, Bandwidth etc.) may need to be modified if they exceed reasonable levels.  The levels are decided by our support staff and addressed case by case due to the diversity of ways scripting can become problematic for our servers.  This has not been a problem to date.
  6. When choosing a hosted solution, you are allowed to deploy a set number of compiled worlds to the hosting server depending on the product level chosen.  After hosting with us for 2 years with Jibe-Moon, 1 year with Jibe-Mars or 6 months with Jibe-Magellan, you may terminate the hosting plan and your jibe product will convert to our single developer, single world project kit.
  7. When choosing a project kit, depending on the product level chosen, you are allowed to deploy one or more compiled worlds with one or more developers within a single developer or single company entity.

The Jibe license has the following restrictions:

  1. You may not resell or distribute any part of the Jibe project kit.  Only the single developer or the purchasing company (depending on the product level purchased) can work with the project kit to deliver the finished compiled world.  If one of your clients for Jibe-Mars or Jibe-Magellan needs access to the project kit they must purchase their own server or one of the Jibe project kits from ReactionGrid.
  2. You are only allowed to deploy multiple compiled worlds with our Jibe-Mars or Jibe-Magellan plans.
  3. If you are hosted with us, any scripts you include in your world that put excessive or unreasonable stress on server resources (such as CPU, RAM, Bandwidth) may need to be modified.  These levels are decided by our support staff and addressed on a case-by-case basis due to the diversity of ways scripting can create problems for servers.
  4. No one may decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, or otherwise reduce the compiled code to any human-readable or modifyable form or use any part of Jibe to develop any application having the same primary function as Jibe.
  5. All rights not specifically granted in this license, including, without limitation, copyright, trade secrets, and trademarks, are reserved by Reactiongrid, Inc.

Uptime

  1. Please test your Jibe login upon initial upload before modifying it to ensure everything works as expected.  Once modifications have been made to the kit you may need to purchase support credits for help depending on the nature of the problem.

Statement on 3rd Party Systems
Jibe uses 3rd party systems such as Paypal & Vivox.  Developers using the Jibe product utilize many 3rd party systems such as the freely available Unity3D editor.  Use of these systems and software is subject to those entities rules and regulations.  Technical support for these systems should be secured from the providing company’s established support system.  Vivox voice is in alpha status.  This means many features are being added, refined and refactored.  We are currently working with Vivox on this and as such we are not yet charging for this service which is only available on our Mars plan.  Those using this system will be notified far in advance when fees are to be applied and will not be charged for any previous use.
